Since you will all be experts on maternal health after the birthing kit workshop, the time will have arrived to focus your attention on the miniature people themselves!
We have a really interesting morning planned, with world expert paediatricians providing a completely interactive, clinically-based session. Paediatric medicine is hard to come by in the med curriculum, and would be incredibly useful for anyone planning an ILA/ elective/ future in global health.
Breakfast will be provided and registration will open at 8:30am.
Dr Ben Marais will be discussing TB and how the disease affects children in endemic countries.
Professor Kathryn Currow will be discussing the impact of education in clinical paediatric healthcare, with a focus on case studies.
